Contracts between Recycle BC and the Parksville and Qualicum Beach bottle depots to accept several recyclable materials free of charge expired in early 2020, leaving a void in the community. Recycle BC's closest permanent contract facilities serving the Oceanside region are in Nanaimo and Courtenay.
